1. Overview
Thank you for choosing our products. Please read this instruction manual carefully
before use to ensure satisfactory results.
The WG86-POE is a NTP synchronized clock. The clock is powered via POE and can
access NTP servers on the Internet or within the local area network to obtain standard
time and automatically calibrate. The clock automatically calibrates every hour,
eliminating accumulated time error without manual correction.
This product series features high precision, high reliability, and all-weather operation,
and has been widely used in education and medical sectors.
NOTE : WG86 -POE NTP SynchronizedClocks are specialist timing equipment and
requirequalifiedITexperts to linkthe units to a NTP server in the LAN andinputallIP
parameters to synchronize to.

1.2.1 Status indicator
The status indicator light is located in the lower right hand corner of the clock.
When the clock has successfully synchronized with a time network server (NTP server),
the indicator light is turned off. If the indicator light is on, time synchronizing is in
progress. If synchronization is unsuccessful, the light will stay steadily lit, Please check
the network connectivity or the system parameters configuration.

2. Power supply and system connection
2.1 POE switch requirements
POE port power per port: ≥30W.
Total POE power supply: ≥30W × Number of Ports.
POE protocol: IEEE 802.3at or IEEE 802.3bt.
Cable type: Cat5 or higher.
Cable length: ≤100 meters.
2.2 Connection with POE switch
Use a switch that meets the above requirements and connect it using a Cat5 or higher
standard network cable as shown in the figure below:
2.3 System connection
WG86-POE synchronized clocks connect to the NTP server via POE switche. System
connection is shown in the following figure.
3. Setup
The clock defaults to Static IP mode. The factory default IP address of the clock is
labeled on the device. Users can also customize the clock's IP address according to
their needs and configure the IP address of the target NTP server for the clock.
Assuming the clock needs to be change the static IP adress from 192.168.1.7 to
192.168.1.51 , and the NTP server address to be configured for the clock is
192.168.1.30, the network parameters can be configured for the clock via a web
interface or configuration software. The detailed operational steps are as follows.
3.1 Web interface
Step 1: Log in to the Clock's Web Interface
Open a browser (ensure your computer and the clock are on the same local area
network and can communicate with each other). Enter the clock's default IP address
192.168.1.7 in the address bar and press Enter. A login prompt will appear. Enter the
default username and password:
Username: admin
Password: admin
Step 2: Configure the Clock's Static IP Address
Click "Local IP Config", select "Static IP" under "IP Type", then enter "192.168.1.51" in
the "Static IP" field and click "Save". A restart prompt will appear on the page;
temporarily skip this step for now.
NOTE : During the configurationprocess, users needto setthegateway address
according to their actualsituation. For detailedinstructions, please refer to the help
section on the right. Ifthe user selects "DHCP"for "IPType", the settings for "Static IP"
and "Gateway"can be ignored.
Step 3: Configure NTP Server's IP Address
Click on "Serial Port", select "UDP Client" for "Work Mode", enter the NTP server IP
address 192.168.1.30 in the "Remote Server Address" field, and set the "Remote Port
Number" to 123. The serial port settings (default: 9600, 8, None, 1) should remain
unchanged as shown in the figure below.
Step 4: Save Settings and Restart
After completing the entries, click "Save ". A restart prompt will then appear on the
interface; click "Restart Module" to confirm and restart the module.
3.2 Host computer software
USR-M0 is a host computer software that can be used to search for clocks within the
LAN and perform network configuration on the clocks.
Step 1:
Ensure the host computer and the clock are connected to the same LAN, then run
USR-M0.exe on the host computer.
Step 2: Locate device
Click "Search Device" to scan for clock(s) within the LAN.
Step 3: Configure the Clock's Network Parameters
Select the IP address of the clock you wish to configure, then double-click to open the
setup interface (as shown in the figure below). Set the parameters including Module
Static IP, Remote IP, Baudrate and Remote Port, then save the configuration.
Example configuration(Parameters marked with ★ are fixed and cannot be modified):
Module Static IP: 192.168.1.51(Enter the clock's IP here)
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
★Serial Baud Rate: 9600
★Module Work Mode: UDP Client
Target IP/Domain: 192.168.1.30(Enter the NTP server IP here)
★Remote Server Port: 123
After completing the settings, click “Save Config”
. The clock will automatically send
requests to the remote NTP server, acquire standard time.
Time calibration will complete once within 2 minutes and once every hour thereafter.
